What we collect
Snapatab processes receipt images to extract line items. These images are sent to OpenAI for OCR and are not stored by Snapatab after processing.
Session data (item names, amounts, participant names you enter) is stored temporarily in our database to enable bill-splitting within your session. Sessions are not linked to accounts or persistent identities.
What we don't collect
- No account registration, no email addresses, no passwords
- No payment information — Snapatab shows you what you owe but does not process payments
- No tracking beyond basic usage analytics (Vercel Analytics, anonymous)
Third parties
- OpenAI — processes receipt images for text extraction
- Supabase — hosts session data (EU-region servers)
- Vercel — hosts the application and collects anonymous traffic analytics
